Simple Pleasures


True friendship is marked by the transformation of a humble meal into a celebration of togetherness. Sharon Tan is now a regular guest at Chez Chin-Tan and we love her for her easy going way of eating whatever is on the table.

Kit's seafood tofu.
This meal consisted of a whole container of my dad’s simple but delicious chap chye (mixed vegetables) which have been simmered in preserved bean curd. The fresh vegetable component is largely cabbage, with dried straw mushrooms, dried black mushrooms, wood ear fungus and deep-fried dry tofu making up the rest of the bulk.

We also defrosted and shallow fried some seafood tofu which Kit topped with some minced meat and garlic.
