| Slice of heaven! |
Some small thoughts are the sweetest, and I have my god-daughter, Michelle Wong, to thank for the dessert which ended the Friday Fry-Up. Like Jamie Oliver always says, dessert need not be elaborate. It just has to be the best of something. These wafers were really, the best I've ever had. Possibly the pure rum had a lot to do with it, but the entire composition made them so delectable.
The chocolate coating was rich and velvety. Non of this palm oil rubbish, no sirree! The wafers were delicate and brittle; completely fresh and crisp, with a lovely crunch. Of course the ganache-like rum cream was just the bomb. Oohhh, a revisit is in order!
