Our room at Tanjung Piai Resort came with breakfast served between 8am and 10am. No way there was going to be a buffet spread for the handful of guests on premise, so Kit and I were pretty curious of what our meal coupons would bring.
Turns out that the only option was a local breakfast of either fried rice, mee or keuy teow, and either coffee or tea. I choose the rice and iced tea, while Kit requested for the mee and iced coffee.

Coffee, Southern style? |

My tea was strong and milky. |
Drinks at this resort tend to look quite posh, with a nice separation between the two liquids, as Kit's coffee proves. My tea was strong, with quite a bit of condensed milk, but it was soon watered down by the melting ice.
Happily, the food turned out pretty good. It was from the same kitchen as the food from the previous night, and so, everything was well spiced, with each dish sporting rather large prawns!

Kit's fried mee was moist and had just the right amount of chilli. |

My fried rice had loads of veggies and fried onions. |
It was a good thing we enjoyed the dishes, as we ended up staying another night, and had the same breakfast the very next day, with the same good consistency.
