Lion City Chocolates

Singapore puts Malaysia to shame. Again.

How is it possible that Singapore, a nation which grows no cocoa at all, can produce better chocolate than Malaysia, one of the biggest and best cocoa producing nations in the world?

My grand-aunt Evelyn Shaw brought this gift box of chocolates for Erin on her recent trip down. They were really good chocolates, though I did not dare ask her how much they cost. The large box featured raisins covered in white, milk and dark chocolate. The white chocolate ones were amazing - so soft and squishy and rich. Even the dark variants did not have too heavy a feel, and the raisins were so plump and juicy.

The peanuts in the peanut variant were crunchy and fresh, and went really well with the chocolate coating, far surpassing the taste, texture and mouth feel of M&Ms or any other chocolate covered peanuts. Come on Malaysia, buck up!
